Around 13 billion cork stoppers are produced every year, and only 1% are recycled. The rest are thrown away — enough to circle the globe ten times over.
Our free, nationwide scheme exists to change that. Over 70 stockists across the UK already collect used cork in-store and send it back to us, keeping a brilliant material in the loop instead of the bin.
Simple to join, simpler to use
Save your cork wine stoppers and drop them at your nearest LIGA recycling partner, we supply the bins, bags and free nationwide collection.
When a bag is full, a quick request on our website sends it back to us at no cost. From there the cork travels to Portugal, where it's ground down and given a second life as insulation, flooring and more.
